Branch out is a fractal tree located within the new STEM campus to reflect creative collaboration between various areas of study. Using fractals as a catalyst for networking, growth and exploration, this sculpture was developed using fractal algorithms and design tools such as Grasshopper within Rhino3d. The goal was to develop a modular system that can be cost efficient, and easy to assemble on site. The project entailed rigorous coordination between client, fabricator and assembly team due to its large number of parts.
